A MESSAGE FROM COLBY, PRESIDENT OF HUNTER SERVICE GROUP
I started in the electrical trade in 1997 during the summer between my junior and senior years of high school. During my senior year, I participated in a co-op program that allowed me to attend school for a half day and to finish the day at work. Aside from developing my technical skills as a young electrician, I learned several important lessons along the way. I learned:
- Most construction workers have an adversarial attitude towards homeowners.
- Customers appreciate it when you slow down and take the time to explain what you are doing or why you made a recommendation.
- Above all, honesty and integrity should be the driving force in how you conduct yourself
- Customers deserve to be respected and treated fairly
When I started Hunter Service Group in 2015, I had a single simple goal; build a company that operated differently. I set out to ensure that knowledge, value, and integrity were the driving forces in all that I did. What I didn’t realize was how well received we would be and how fast we would grow. We’ve gone from myself in a truck, to 15 technicians in a relatively short period of time. All of our technicians are the best the industry has to offer. We strive to hire career oriented professionals who are clean cut and understand these core principles and live by them. We aren’t perfect, but we strive to be.
